With iOS 18, we’re thrilled to introduce exciting new features designed to make sleep tracking more intuitive, customizable, and seamlessly integrated into your daily routine.

Enjoy easier access to the app, enhanced Apple Watch integration, and user interface customization, giving you more control over your sleep experience than ever before. Here’s what’s new and how these updates will make your sleep routine even better!

Simplify your sleep tracking with iOS and WatchOS updates

At Sleep Cycle, we understand that sleep is personal, so we’ve teamed up with Apple to bring you iOS 18 features that fit seamlessly into your life. By integrating the latest generative AI technology, we’ve made interacting with the app easier and your sleep tracking more effective. From starting a session with a tap to personalizing your app interface, these updates make sleep tracking more convenient, intuitive, and tailored to you.

1. Add Sleep Cycle shortcut to your Control Center and Lock Screen

We’ve added a Sleep Cycle widget to your iPhone’s Control Center, making it easier than ever to access the app. With a quick swipe, you can start a sleep session without scrolling through your home screen. It’s a simple upgrade that makes a big difference, especially when you’re settling in for the night.

You can also jump straight into a sleep session by customizing shortcuts on your Lock Screen. Simply replace an existing shortcut with Sleep Cycle, putting it right at your fingertips.

2. Siri integration – Just say, “Hey Siri, start Sleep Cycle!”

Sleep Cycle is now seamlessly integrated with Siri, making it easier than ever to start tracking your sleep. Just say, “Hey Siri, start Sleep Cycle,” and the app will begin tracking for you. This new feature adds convenience and personalizes your experience, letting you kick off your sleep session with a simple voice command.

3. Instant sleep tracking with the iPhone action button

Sleep Cycle now supports iPhone’s side action button (available on iPhone 15 Pro and newer), making it faster than ever to start and stop your sleep tracking. No need to unlock your phone or navigate through apps – just press the action button, and tracking begins immediately. It’s perfect for those nights when you just want to jump into bed with no extra steps.

4. App icon customization

Your app experience should be as personal as possible, down to the smallest details. That’s why we’ve introduced new customization options for the Sleep Cycle app icon. Choose your preferred tint and appearance, so your Sleep Cycle app reflects your personal style right on your home screen.

5. Stay on track with Apple Watch bedtime reminders and live activities

With iOS 18 and WatchOS 11, Sleep Cycle live activities now appear on your Apple Watch as notifications, so you can keep up with your sleep activities in real-time without reaching for your phone. The new bedtime reminders help you maintain a regular sleep schedule by providing gentle nudges to wind down on time each night. Sticking to a routine will help you improve the quality of your sleep over time.

How to activate the new iOS 18 features

To experience these new features, simply update your iPhone to iOS 18, and if you haven’t already, download the Sleep Cycle app today. We can’t wait for you to try them out and see how they can help you get the rest you deserve. With these enhancements, sleep tracking has never been easier or more tailored to your lifestyle.
