Solving a Public Health Problem – at Scale
Sleep Apnea
Hidden Health Risks

Sleep apnea is far more than a nighttime annoyance; it’s a serious health condition with significant health implications. By understanding the disorder’s mechanisms, including its impact on cardiovascular health and metabolism, and exploring both lifestyle changes and medical treatments, individuals can take informed steps toward managing the condition. Advances in research and therapies have made it easier to address sleep apnea, emphasizing the importance of timely diagnosis and tailored interventions.
Clinical Trial Initiated

The clinical trial is spearheaded by Dr. Mike Gradisar, Head of Sleep Science at Sleep Cycle, who serves as the study’s Principal Investigator, and Dr. Mikael Kågebäck, CTO at Sleep Cycle and Phd. in AI and Machine Learning. Together they bring a wealth of expertise in behavioral sleep medicine and applied AI in digital health, supporting Sleep Cycle’s rigorous scientific approach to development. The study will explore the feasibility and accuracy of detecting OSA through a non-invasive, app-based solution—positioning Sleep Cycle to become one of the first mobile platforms to offer sleep apnea screening capabilities at scale.
